Raw feeders: older cat won’t eat bone?

I don’t really want to supplement. Any ideas on how to get her to eat bone? She’ll eat fish bone, does that count? I finally got her to eat raw meat (took like 6months!!!) but she’ll eat around the bones, so I’m still feeding her can food with a bit of raw mixed in.

Any ideas or suggestions?
ah don’t want to grind either. lol I’m difficult, but grinding causes more bacteria and that’d be fine with dogs but cats have a more sensitive stomach.

If someone knows, please point it out to me too. Binnie will eat around the bones 80% of the time and her food IS ground up. The bones are rather small but she still spits them out. But I think it will just take time and eventually, the cat will grow tired of constantly spitting out bones. I’ve been feeding since Jan ’09 and only about 2 mos ago did Binnie go from 100% spitting to 80%. Marble was starting on raw at age 3 mos so she has no problem with eating bone.

I’d say make sure the cat is good and hungry. If you normally feed at 5p, don’t feed until 7p or 8p. Then give cat some raw meaty bone such as chicken/turkey necks. Cut in bite sized pieces and give as the only choice. Leave it for 1 hr. If still not eaten, then feed normal diet. You have to be persistent until the cat will eat bone w/o hesitation.
