What is the best auto cleaning cat litter box?

I am getting a new kitten in a few weeks and I don’t want to deal with the smell of a cat litter box. I’ve had cats in the past and used the old method of cleaning out the litter box.
I’ve looked at different brands, but know how well they work.
Any suggestions?

I find automatic litter boxes are useless. clumping litter makes a mess everywhere..and sometimes the stool or clump litter gets caught in the scooper. BUT! I did discover the breeze klitty litter box several months ago..GOSH how I wish they had invented that 10 years ago.
I have 2 cats…and since i’ve been using the breeze kitty litter system…there is no more litter tracking all over the house! I loathed when the litter would get everywhere..and nothing i did helped..not the automatic litter system..not the litter tracking mats..not even the litter boxes that had a plastic door nor the upside down litter box.

The breeze litter system is different because it uses a heavy clay pellet. Therefore itdoesn’tt get caught inside your cats paws for one thing…and the other is the urine drains to the second litter pan onto a disposable absorbing pad. I change the pads every 3 to 4 days.
It’s so much more sanitary…because you can just chuck the pads into a plastic bag andthroww it out…and there is no smell of urine (ammoniaa).
The bag of litter pellets last up to a month…then you should change it to maintain sanitary conditions. the bag of pellets are about 6 dollars and the pads are about 3 to 4 dollars. In a bag of pads you get 5.
