What is thee best remedy to get rid of fleas and ticks in cats and dogs?

I use frontline plus for dogs and frontline plus for cats seems to help quite a bit. There are 3 applications per package and you use one monthly. It ranges in price for about $35 …but, it’s 3 months worth of medication. I then spray the furniture/carpets with a Flea spray. It’s a headache, no matter what you try. Good Luck.
